Mary Shelley began her masterpiece in 1815 when she was 18 years old. It was published 3 years later, 200 years ago. Since then her thrilling story has spawned more than 70 movie versions (starting with Thomas Edison’s silent in 1910), most of them drastically unfaithful to Mary’s haunting and horrific vision. This program, with sound effects and with background music by Bernard Herrmann, time-travels back to learn heart-stopping truths from Mary Shelley’s manuscript.

This event is free with $5 admission to Coe Hall.  No reservations are necessary.
