Hauppauge Fire Department

The Hauppauge Fire Department was formed on May 11, 1931 under the direction of 14 Charter Members who devoted their time and energy to create an organization that would ultimately evolve into what it is now. To this day, this department continues the traditions and quality service that these men prided themselves in providing to their community, even at a time when the area was relatively undeveloped. Since that time, Hauppauge has become home to many major businesses, hotels and over 21,000 residents. There are several hundred buildings in the Hauppauge Industrial Park which are occupied by over 1000 businesses. Each day tens of thousands of people come to Hauppauge to earn their living, in addition to those who live here. Further growth may be possible in the near future with recent changes in building codes which will allow multi-story commercial structures. Times have changed and we continue to change with them.
