“The Book of Eels” by Patrick Svensson

Journey with us in pursuit of nature’s most mysterious creature - the eel! Part generational memoir, part scientific mystery, Svensson’s enchanting book traces humankind’s fascination with these animals. Discover how scientists, explorers, and philosophers from Aristotle to Freud have long tried (and often failed) to understand the eel’s epic migration from inland waters to open sea. Along the way, the book explores the limits of science, the beauty of curiosity, and the way in which we seek meaning in the natural world.
